We're Here to Help You Through the Process

Dealing with property damage is stressful enough. Adding an insurance claim on top of it can feel overwhelming — especially when you're not sure what to expect or what documentation your insurance company will need.

What to Keep in Mind

  • Your insurance policy and your insurance company determine what is covered under your claim. Holders Property Restoration does not determine coverage.
  • We do not act as a public adjuster and do not negotiate insurance coverage on your behalf.
  • We recommend reviewing your policy and working directly with your insurance company or a licensed public adjuster if you have questions about your coverage.
  • Every claim is different. The documentation and process will vary depending on the type and scope of the loss.

How We Can Help With Your Claim Process

Damage Documentation

We document affected areas and conditions at the time of our work, which can help support your insurance claim.

Photographs

We take photographs of damage and conditions throughout the restoration process to provide a clear record of the loss.

Estimates & Scope of Work

We provide written estimates and scope-of-work documentation describing the restoration services performed or proposed.

Communication With Your Adjuster

We can communicate with your insurance adjuster and provide information about the work performed to help move the claim process forward.

Consistent Availability

We remain available throughout the project to answer questions from you or your insurance company about the restoration work.

How Restoration and the Insurance Claim Process Often Work Together

While every claim is different, here is a general picture of how the restoration and insurance process often works together.

1

Report the Loss to Your Insurance Company

Contact your insurance company as soon as possible after a property loss to report the damage and open a claim.

2

Call Holders Property Restoration

Contact us for emergency response or to schedule an assessment. We can begin mitigation work to help prevent additional damage while the claim process gets underway.

3

Damage Assessment & Documentation

We assess and document the affected areas. This documentation can be shared with your insurance adjuster to support your claim.

4

Estimate & Scope of Work

We provide a written estimate and scope of work for the restoration services needed. This is typically reviewed by your insurance adjuster as part of the claims process.

5

Restoration Work Begins

Once the appropriate scope of work is established and authorization to proceed is received, we move forward with the necessary mitigation, cleanup, drying, restoration, and/or repair work.

6

Completion & Final Documentation

Upon completion, we provide documentation of the work performed, which can be provided to your insurance company as part of the claim documentation.

A Few Practical Tips

Document the damage yourself with photos before any cleanup begins, if it is safe to do so.

Keep records of all communications with your insurance company, including dates, names, and what was discussed.

Save receipts for any emergency expenses related to the loss, such as temporary housing or emergency repairs.

Ask your insurance company for a copy of your policy and review your coverage, deductible, and any exclusions.

Do not hesitate to ask questions — both of your insurance company and of us. You deserve clear answers throughout the process.
